Unilever Ice Cream Unit to List in Amsterdam

Unilever has decided to list its ice cream business primarily in Amsterdam, impacting London's financial market, which has been struggling to attract major IPOs. Secondary listings are planned for London and New York as part of a strategic move aligning with the ice cream division's base in the Netherlands. The separation is expected to be completed by 2025 and is part of Unilever's restructuring efforts to improve performance and regain investor confidence. Jean-François van Boxmeer, current chair of Vodafone, has been appointed as chair designate for the newly independent business. Despite the primary listing shift, Unilever maintains an operational presence in the UK, including its R&D center and Wall's ice cream factory in Gloucester.
