Qatari PM Condemns Israeli Strikes on Hamas in Doha, Questions Peace Role

Al Thani expressed outrage, emphasizing that Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has wasted time in peace negotiations and accused him of bullying and destabilizing the region. The strike killed a 22-year-old Qatari security officer and placed other Qataris in dangerous situations, prompting Qatar to reassess its involvement in future negotiations and consult with the Trump administration on next steps. Al Thani also called for a collective regional response and an upcoming Arab-Islamic summit to decide on actions against Israel's aggression. Netanyahu, in turn, warned Qatar to expel Hamas officials or face consequences, further escalating tensions between Israel and Qatar.
