Wawa Plans 10-Store Expansion in Centre, Surrounding Pennsylvania Counties

Wawa has announced significant expansion plans in Centre County and surrounding areas, aiming to open 10 new stores within the next five years, with additional locations planned in Mifflin and Clinton counties by 2026. The company revealed four specific Centre County sites under contract, including locations near East College Avenue and Squirrel Drive in College Township, with the Potter Township store expected to open first. Each new store represents a $7.5 million investment, creating approximately 35 jobs per location and employing 140 contractors for construction, contributing to about 350 new jobs overall in the region.
