US Releases Footage Alleging Hamas Looted Aid

U.S. Central Command released MQ-9 drone footage it says shows suspected Hamas operatives hijacking and looting a humanitarian aid truck near northern Khan Younis, moving the driver to a road median with his condition reported as unknown. U.S. officials, including Senator Marco Rubio, condemned the incident as depriving Gazans of vital assistance and undermining the ceasefire and aid plan; the video was collected by a U.S.-led Civil-Military Coordination Center (CMCC) monitoring the truce. The Gaza government and Hamas rejected CENTCOM’s account as false and part of a disinformation campaign, saying their forces protected convoys and that no international driver had complained. The CMCC, based in Kiryat Gat and described as including representatives from nearly 40 countries and about 200 U.S. personnel, is coordinating humanitarian and security assistance into Gaza and using surveillance to oversee deliveries. Gaza health officials and aid groups say violence and deaths have continued despite the truce and far fewer trucks have entered Gaza than agreed, leaving critical aid and patients delayed or blocked.
