UAE Unveils World’s Largest AI Data Center With Nvidia, OpenAI Partnership

The United Arab Emirates is launching the Stargate UAE project, an ambitious AI data center spanning 10 square miles with a 5-gigawatt power capacity, aiming to become the world's largest AI infrastructure hub. Led by Emirati firm G42 in partnership with U.S. tech giants Nvidia, OpenAI, Oracle, and Cisco, the project will feature Nvidia's advanced Blackwell GB300 servers and aligns with the U.S. Stargate initiative announced by President Donald Trump. This collaboration reflects a strategic global push to build AI capabilities, with the U.S. Commerce Department working with the UAE to ensure compliance with security standards despite previous export restrictions. Nvidia is also advancing its global AI strategy with multi-region hubs, notably in Taiwan and the Middle East, leveraging Taiwan's manufacturing and R&D strengths to support AI supercomputers and infrastructure. The UAE’s massive investment in AI infrastructure is part of a broader economic diversification and technological influence plan, including substantial investments in France and the crypto sector.
