FBI Arrests North Texas Woman for 6-Year-Old Son's Murder in India

Cindy Rodriguez Singh, a North Texas mother accused of killing her disabled 6-year-old son, Noel Rodriguez-Alvarez, has been arrested in India, the FBI announced. Singh had been on the FBI’s Top Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list since July 2025, facing charges of capital murder and unlawful flight to avoid prosecution after fleeing the U.S. in March 2023 with her husband and other children following welfare checks on her son. The boy was last seen in October 2022 and was presumed dead after investigators found no evidence supporting claims he was left with others. FBI Director Kash Patel credited coordinated efforts between U.S. and Indian law enforcement for the capture and noted this was the fourth arrest from the Top Ten Most Wanted list in seven months. Singh has already returned to the U.S. and will face charges in Texas, where the case originated. Authorities continue to seek justice for Noel, amid reports of abuse and neglect within the family.
