In the third inning, Toronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer was hit on the hand by a pitch from White Sox starter Michael Kopech. He would later score after a double by Vladimir Guerrero Jr. The Blue Jays replaced Springer with Cavan Biggio who took over in right field. In 25 games, Springer is slashing .216/.283/.320 with three home runs and nine RBIs.
