Russell Brand Pleads Not Guilty to Sex Charges
Comedian and actor Russell Brand has pleaded not guilty to multiple charges of rape, oral rape, sexual assault, and indecent assault involving four women from 1999 to 2005. The accusations stem from Channel 4 and Sunday Times investigations, as well as a police inquiry, and concern alleged incidents in Bournemouth and London. At Southwark Crown Court, Brand confirmed his identity and plea and was granted conditional bail. Allegations include rape during a Labour Party conference, indecent and oral assaults on TV and radio workers, as well as groping and attempted assault. Brand continues to publicly deny any non-consensual activity and says he looks forward to defending himself in court. His trial is set to begin in June 2026.
