Tim Allen Forgives Man Who Killed His Father
Tim Allen, 72, said he has forgiven the man who killed his father after being moved by Erika Kirk’s eulogy for her husband, Charlie Kirk. In an X post Allen quoted her words — “That man… that young man… I forgive him.” — and wrote, “I forgive the man who killed my father,” adding, “Peace be with you all.” Allen was 11 in 1964 when his father, Gerald M. Dick, a real estate agent, died after being struck by a drunk driver while returning from a Colorado football game; Allen has said the death shaped his life and complicated his faith. Erika Kirk publicly forgave 22-year-old Tyler Robinson at a Sept. 21 memorial, saying her Christian faith and what Charlie would have wanted guided her decision. Robinson is accused of fatally shooting Charlie Kirk at a Utah college event on Sept. 10 and faces charges including aggravated murder.
