Broadcom has launched a new security feature called Incident Prediction as part of its Symantec Endpoint Security Complete (SES-C) suite. This innovative tool uses artificial intelligence to predict and disrupt 'living-off-the-land' cyberattacks that exploit legitimate software, allowing security teams to proactively halt attackers' progress. Trained on over 500,000 real-world attack sequences, Incident Prediction aims to reduce the burden on security analysts by automating responses and minimizing disruptions to business operations. Eric Chien from the Symantec Threat Hunter Team emphasized that the feature predicts potential attacker moves, facilitating a rapid return to normalcy for enterprises.
