Anti‑ICE Protester’s SUV Rolls into Pond During ICE Action

During an ICE enforcement action in Upton, Massachusetts, an anti-ICE protester who stopped her SUV to confront agents failed to put the vehicle in park and it rolled down an embankment into a pond at Lakeview Cemetery, becoming mostly submerged. Video of the incident, obtained from an ICE source and posted on X by Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin, shows agents continuing arrests as the vehicle sinks. Upton police said the fire department towed the vehicle out and cited the unidentified driver for unsafe operation; no injuries were reported. The clip quickly went viral and drew widespread online reaction as ICE continues Operation Patriot 2.0 in Massachusetts targeting criminal noncitizens. DHS and ICE accounts and officials publicly highlighted and at times mocked the mishap; authorities have not released the driver’s name.
