Polymarket, Chainlink Launch Near-Instant Crypto Prediction Settlements

Polymarket has partnered with Chainlink to enhance the speed, accuracy, and security of its prediction market resolutions by integrating Chainlink's decentralized oracle technology on the Polygon mainnet. This integration enables real-time, tamper-resistant data feeds and automated on-chain settlements, reducing reliance on subjective social voting and the previously used UMA optimistic oracle, which faced criticism for vulnerability to manipulation. Chainlink’s deterministic oracle network provides cryptographic guarantees, improving transparency and trust in market outcomes, especially for asset pricing predictions in crypto markets. The collaboration aims not only to improve current markets but also to expand into additional, more subjective prediction markets, solidifying Polymarket's position within the U.S. market following recent CFTC approval.
