Matthew Livelsberger, an active duty soldier, used ChatGPT and other generative AI tools to plan an explosion outside the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas. Although AI tools like ChatGPT are designed to prevent harmful use, the information accessed was publicly available. Livelsberger left behind a manifesto expressing political grievances and personal struggles, and his actions resulted in a fatal outcome when he shot himself just before the explosion.
