Robert Rundo Pleads Guilty to Riot Conspiracy

Robert Rundo, a 34-year-old from Huntington Beach, California, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to violate the federal Anti-Riot Act, admitting his involvement in organizing violent rallies as a member of the Rise Above Movement (RAM), a white supremacist group. Rundo's legal troubles culminated in this plea after years of charges being reinstated and dismissed, with a recent ruling by the Ninth Circuit overseeing his case. As part of the plea agreement, prosecutors recommended no more than two years in prison, although Rundo has already served nearly two years. Rundo admitted to participating in combat training and attacks against counter-protesters at political rallies in 2017 and 2018. Sentencing is scheduled for December 13, and federal authorities emphasized their commitment to combating hate and safeguarding civil rights against such extremist actions. Rundo was extradited from Romania last year after being a fugitive for nearly a year.
