They allege that Kushner's firm, Affinity Partners, received substantial investments from Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund, totaling at least $87 million, without proper disclosure under the Foreign Agents Registration Act. The lawmakers argue that these financial ties allow Kushner to exert undue influence on U.S. foreign policy, particularly in the Middle East, and have called for a Special Counsel to investigate the matter. Kushner, who served as a senior advisor during the Trump administration, has dismissed these allegations as baseless political maneuvers. The DOJ has yet to comment on the request for a special counsel.
