Trump: Ukraine Can Win Back All Territory

After meeting Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the United Nations, President Donald Trump posted on Truth Social saying he believes Ukraine, with backing from the European Union and NATO, can "WIN all of Ukraine back in its original form." He called Russia a "paper tiger," said Moscow faces "BIG Economic trouble" including fuel shortages, urged Kyiv to act now, and pledged continued weapons support routed through NATO. Trump pressed European countries to stop importing Russian oil and suggested NATO should more forcefully defend its airspace, at one point saying allied aircraft should shoot down Russian planes that enter it — a comment he later qualified. The remarks marked a shift from some of his earlier positions, including prior comments about Crimea and his summit with Vladimir Putin.
