Dallas Couple Sues Bar After Flaming Cocktail Burns

A Dallas couple, Abigael Hance-Briscoe and Dustin Johnson, suffered severe burns after a flaming cocktail exploded at the Twisted Trick bar in August. The drink, called a Flaming Pineapple, was ignited by a bartender who added extra Everclear and used a torch, causing the glass to shatter and flames to spread. Both were hospitalized, with Hance-Briscoe enduring more severe injuries, including extensive skin grafts and battling sepsis, which affected her mobility. The couple is suing the now-closed bar for negligence, seeking over $1 million in damages. The bar denies responsibility, labeling the incident as accidental. A GoFundMe campaign has been set up to assist with their medical expenses.
