Spitting Image returns on YouTube with political puppets

The satirical puppet show Spitting Image is returning this autumn with a new YouTube vodcast series titled Spitting Image: The Rest Is Bulls*!t, featuring figures such as Prince Harry, Donald Trump, Elon Musk, Angela Rayner, and others. The series promises a sharp, no-holds-barred satire on contemporary global politics, pop culture, and media, using original short-form episodes to deliver biting commentary on current events including world leaders and media control. Creatively led by Al Murray and Matt Forde, writers of the acclaimed stage show Idiots Assemble: Spitting Image The Musical, the series continues the tradition of the original show that ran from 1984 to 1996 and was briefly revived on BritBox from 2020 to 2022. The new show, produced by Avalon and executive produced by original creator Roger Law along with others, aims to appeal to a 21st-century audience with fearless and hard-hitting content. A teaser episode featuring Prince Harry, Paddington Bear, and others has already been released, showcasing the irreverent style and topical humor fans expect. The exact launch date is yet to be announced.
