Jefferson White to Narrate 'Sunrise on the Reaping' Audiobook

Scholastic has announced the release of 'Sunrise on the Reaping,' a new novel in the Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins, set to be published on March 18, 2025. The story will delve into the character of Haymitch Abernathy, focusing on his experiences during the 50th Hunger Games, known as the second Quarter Quell, which took place 24 years before the original series. Jefferson White, known for his role in 'Yellowstone,' will narrate the audiobook, expressing his excitement about returning to the world of Panem. A feature film adaptation of the novel is also slated for release on November 20, 2026, although casting details remain unannounced. Scholastic anticipates a significant print run of 2.5 million copies, reflecting the series' enduring popularity. This book marks the first new addition to the franchise since 'The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes' in 2020.
