Singapore-Based SixSense Raises $8.5M to Expand AI Semiconductor Platform

Singapore-based deep tech startup SixSense has raised $8.5 million in a Series A funding round led by Peak XV’s Surge, with participation from Alpha Intelligence Capital, Febe, and others, bringing their total funding to around $12 million. Founded by engineers Akanksha Jagwani and Avni Agarwal, SixSense's AI-powered platform transforms raw semiconductor manufacturing data, such as defect images and machine signals, into real-time actionable insights to detect and predict chip defects, improving yield and reducing production losses. The no-code platform allows engineers to deploy custom models quickly and is already in use by major manufacturers including GlobalFoundries and JCET, having processed over 100 million chips and reported production cycle improvements of up to 30% and a 90% reduction in manual inspections. With semiconductor manufacturing facing challenges like supply chain disruptions and geopolitical tensions, SixSense is expanding into key markets such as Malaysia, Taiwan, and the US, aiming to integrate line-level AI intelligence that enables factory-wide real-time decision-making. Investors view SixSense as a transformative solution in an industry where precision and efficiency are critical, and its women-led leadership brings fresh perspectives to a traditionally male-dominated field. The company plans to use the funding to accelerate research and development, strengthen partnerships, and support adoption in new fabrication facilities that are more open to next-generation AI technologies.
