Palisades Fire Forces Taran Killam from Urinetown Role

Actor Taran Killam has stepped down from his role in the off-Broadway production of 'Urinetown' following the loss of his home in the recent Palisades Fire in Los Angeles. The New York City Center confirmed his departure in a statement, explaining that he was 'no longer able to participate' due to the devastating impact of the fire. Killam's role of Officer Lockstock will now be taken over by actor Greg Hildreth. The fire, which broke out on January 7, destroyed Killam and his wife Cobie Smulders' $5.6 million home, deeply affecting the couple and their two daughters. Despite the tragedy, Smulders has been active in providing support for families affected by the wildfires. The production of 'Urinetown' is scheduled to run from February 5 to February 16, 2025, featuring a star-studded cast including Rainn Wilson and Stephanie Styles.
