Adler Planetarium Hosts Free Astro Road Trip in Chicago
The Door Peninsula Astronomical Society (DPAS) is inviting the public to a meeting on March 11, where Jim Gallt will present his findings on spectroscopy. The event will coincide with a total lunar eclipse occurring on March 13, which will reach maximum totality at 1:58 am. DPAS plans to conduct a Messier Marathon that night, where amateur astronomers will attempt to observe all 110 Messier objects. In addition, the Tucson Amateur Astronomy Association will host its annual Astronomy Festival on March 22, featuring solar observing and night sky viewing from 3 P.M. MST. Participants can look forward to seeing celestial objects such as Mars and the Orion Nebula, along with interactive exhibits. Both events aim to enhance public interest and participation in astronomy.
