Salvation Army Hospitality House celebrates decade of service in Tucson

The Salvation Army Tucson’s Hospitality House is celebrating its 10-year anniversary with a community event called 'Decade of Hope' on April 5, which aims to highlight its services and successes over the past decade. The facility has provided shelter, medical assistance, and support to vulnerable individuals, including those facing homelessness or health crises, with over 100 beds available. The open house will feature games, music, and tours, showcasing the various programs that assist more than 23,000 people annually. One beneficiary, Barron Avery, shared how the Hospitality House helped him regain his sight and improve his quality of life after a stroke. The celebration emphasizes the importance of community support in sustaining the house's operations, which rely on donations and fundraising. This milestone marks a decade of commitment to serving those in need in Tucson.
