Netflix, Hallmark Expand Deal to Stream Holiday Movies Globally

Hallmark Media and Netflix have expanded their content licensing deal, increasing the availability of Hallmark's movies and TV series on the streaming platform both in the U.S. and internationally. Starting October 2025, Netflix will stream the first two seasons of Hallmark's series "The Way Home," with seasons three and four scheduled for release in 2026 after premiering on Hallmark Channel and Hallmark+. The agreement also includes Valentine’s Day-themed movies debuting on Netflix in January 2026 and a selection of Hallmark holiday films becoming available in select international markets from November through January. Hallmark Media's VP Jesse Wallace emphasized the partnership's role in spreading joy and positivity while leveraging Netflix's global reach to attract new and existing audiences to Hallmark’s linear channels and streaming service. This expanded deal follows a successful initial partnership in 2024 that brought 10 Hallmark Christmas movies to Netflix, boosting viewership and subscriber growth for Hallmark's platforms. Overall, the collaboration signifies a strategic effort to extend Hallmark's heartwarming content beyond traditional viewers to a broader international streaming audience.
