Jacksonville Woman Found Alive After Car Crash

St. Lucie County deputies found 53-year-old Jennifer Fisher of Jacksonville alive on Oct. 2 after multiple 911 callers reported a naked woman in a ditch in county woods. Her white 2018 Acura MDX had been recovered partially submerged near Indrio Road and Johnston Road two days earlier. Sheriff's aviation, drone, dive and K-9 teams had searched the area without locating her before the public reports. Detectives say Fisher told deputies she crashed, removed her clothing, walked into the woods intending to stay for days, did not have the teal electric bicycle reported on her vehicle, and complained of fire ant bites before being taken to a hospital and evaluated. The St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office thanked the public and social-media users for sharing the missing-person alert and said community participation helped locate her. Separately, authorities issued missing-person alerts for 44-year-old Shirley Sejour in northwest Miami-Dade and 78-year-old Carlina Audelberth near North New River Canal Road and asked anyone with information to contact police.
