Amazon Plans $10B AI Campus in North Carolina

Amazon has announced a $10 billion investment to build a major cloud computing and artificial intelligence campus in Richmond County, North Carolina, spanning 800 acres and featuring 20 buildings. The project, among the largest in the state's history, will create at least 500 high-skilled jobs and is expected to generate thousands more through construction and supply chain support. The new Amazon Web Services facility will house advanced infrastructure to power cloud computing and generative AI for multiple sectors. Amazon will also invest in workforce development, launch training programs, and provide a $150,000 community fund for local education and STEM initiatives.
