Eshé Collins Wins Atlanta City Council Seat

Eshé Collins won the runoff election for the Atlanta City Council's Post 3 at-large seat, defeating Nicole 'Nikki' Evans Jones with approximately 60% of the votes cast. Collins, who has a background in civil rights law and previously served on the Atlanta Public Schools Board, will serve the remainder of former councilwoman Keisha Sean Waites' term until December 31, 2025. Her campaign focused on equitable development, education, youth empowerment, and environmental sustainability, and she is committed to making affordable housing a priority. The election had a total of over 14,500 votes, a decline from the general election, where Collins and Jones advanced after no candidate received over 50% of the votes.
