Anderson Debuts Dior SS26, Oversees All Lines

Jonathan Anderson made his Dior womenswear debut for Spring/Summer 2026 at Paris Fashion Week in the Tuileries, following his menswear launch in June. His appointment marks the first time since Christian Dior that a single designer oversees the house’s men’s, women’s, accessories and couture lines. The show opened with a film, “Do You Dare Enter,” and archival footage, framing a dialogue with Dior’s heritage as Anderson warped the Bar jacket and New Look into cropped, deconstructed silhouettes, oversized bows, punk plaids, buccaneer hats, lampshade draping and frayed denim miniskirts alongside sculptural accessories and other commercial pieces. Held in the Tuileries and attended by stars including Jennifer Lawrence, Jenna Ortega, Johnny Depp, Jisoo and France’s First Lady Brigitte Macron, the presentation closed to a standing ovation. Critics, historians and retailers praised the theatricality, sculptural geometry and the blend of couture with wearable items, while online reaction was mixed, with some questioning the collection’s identity and whom the new Dior is meant to serve.
