Lakewood Father Charged in Infant's Minivan Death
Moshe Ehrlich, a 35-year-old father from Lakewood Township, New Jersey, has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child following the death of his 4-month-old son who was left alone in a minivan for an extended period. The incident occurred on March 18 when police responded to a report of an infant in distress, and despite lifesaving efforts by Hatzolah Medical Services, the child was pronounced dead at Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus. Ehrlich surrendered to authorities on March 20 and is currently being held at Ocean County Jail, with further investigations ongoing and potential additional charges pending. Authorities have not disclosed the specific duration the infant was left in the vehicle or the exact cause of death. The incident has left the Lakewood community in mourning, and the case is under active investigation by local law enforcement agencies.
