JetBlue Passenger Arrested After Emergency Slide Incident

A JetBlue passenger was arrested after opening an emergency exit door and deploying the slide of a taxiing plane at Boston Logan International Airport on Tuesday evening. The incident, involving JetBlue Flight 161 bound for San Juan, Puerto Rico, delayed the flight but resulted in no injuries. The passenger, who attempted to deplane after a dispute with a travel companion, was restrained by other passengers until Massachusetts State Police detained him. He is expected to be arraigned in East Boston District Court, and authorities believe this was an isolated incident. Separately, two decomposed bodies were discovered in the wheel well of a JetBlue plane at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, raising concerns about airline security as investigations continue. JetBlue is cooperating with authorities to understand how the individuals accessed the aircraft.
