Pro-Palestinian Protesters Block Leonardo Factory in Edinburgh

Over 100 protesters blockaded the entrance to Leonardo UK's factory in Edinburgh, demanding the company cease its production of components for F-35 fighter jets used by Israel. Demonstrators expressed outrage over the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and accused the UK government of complicity in war crimes by continuing arms exports. Protesters, including charity project manager Rebecca and bar worker Patrick, emphasized their moral obligation to act against what they perceive as genocide. Earlier this autumn, the UK government suspended around 30 arms export licenses to Israel due to concerns over violations of international law but exempted some licenses for F-35 components. The protesters are urging workers at the factory to support the boycott, divestment, and sanctions movement against Israel. Leonardo UK has been asked to respond to the protest's claims and demands.
