Brendan Gleeson Joins Spider-Noir Cast

Brendan Gleeson has been confirmed to star in Amazon's upcoming live-action series 'Spider-Man Noir', where he is expected to play the main antagonist, a New York mob boss. The series, led by Nicolas Cage as an aging private investigator in 1930s New York, will explore his struggle with his past as a superhero. The cast also includes Lamorne Morris, Abraham Popoola, and Li Jun Li, with the show being produced by Sony Pictures TV and Amazon MGM Studios. Co-showrunners Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot are joined by executive producers Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Amy Pascal. The series will premiere on MGM+'s linear channel domestically before streaming globally on Amazon Prime Video. This role marks one of Gleeson's first major projects since his Oscar-nominated performance in 'The Banshees of Inisherin.'
