Two Men Injured in Grand Central Fight
Early Tuesday morning, a violent altercation occurred between two men, aged 30 and 50, on the northbound 4, 5, and 6 subway platform at Grand Central Station. Both men sustained lacerations to their arms, with one treated on-site and the other hospitalized at Bellevue Hospital in stable condition. The circumstances surrounding the argument remain unclear, and it is undetermined if the men were acquainted. They have been taken into custody, but no charges have been filed yet. This incident follows a recent spike in violence at Grand Central, with multiple stabbings reported in recent days, prompting the NYPD to increase police presence on trains and at high-risk stations. A knife was recovered at the scene, and an investigation is currently underway.
