Bob Dylan Pop-Up Exhibition Opens Coventry Ahead Historic UK Concert

A pop-up exhibition titled "Still Working on Maggie's Farm" has opened at the Coventry Music Museum to celebrate Bob Dylan ahead of his first-ever concert in Coventry at the Coventry Building Society Arena on November 13. The exhibition highlights Dylan's influence on the UK music scene, particularly his connection with Coventry's ska band The Specials, who famously covered Dylan's song "Maggie's Farm." Running until December 2025, the exhibit features a Bob Dylan-themed room showcasing his iconic lyrics and memorabilia, coinciding with his UK Rough and Rowdy Ways tour. Music promoter Mike Lloyd emphasized the significance of Dylan's concert as a major event for the Midlands, expected to attract fans from across the country. Separately, a new documentary, "Newport and the Great Folk Dream," premiering at the Venice Film Festival, taps into a renewed interest in Dylan sparked by the recent biopic "A Complete Unknown" starring Timothée Chalamet, highlighting Dylan's historic 1960s folk music influence. Additionally, the Bob Dylan Center in Tulsa offers an immersive experience tracing his artistic transformation through extensive archives and interactive exhibits, inviting visitors to explore Dylan’s legacy from multiple perspectives.
