Jeremy Fong Arrested After Novato Burglary Crash

Early Saturday morning, an attempted burglary at the Specialty Tobacco Outlet in Novato involved a vehicle crashing into the storefront. Five suspects used two vehicles in the crime, prompting a police pursuit that was eventually called off due to unsafe speeds. The chase resumed when one of the vehicles was located by the California Highway Patrol, eventually leading to a crash in Richmond. Jeremy Vernchan Fong, a 26-year-old from Oakland, was arrested following a foot chase and has been charged with multiple offenses including burglary and vehicle theft. Authorities recovered a substantial amount of stolen property from the vehicle he was driving. The investigation remains ongoing, with police urging anyone with additional information to come forward.
