Pink Floyd Plans 50th Anniversary Wish You Were Here Box Set

To mark the 50th anniversary of Pink Floyd's seminal 1975 album Wish You Were Here, Sony Music is releasing a comprehensive box set titled Wish You Were Here 50 on December 12, 2025. The set includes multiple formats such as three vinyl records, two CDs, a Blu-ray, digital downloads, and a deluxe box featuring exclusive clear vinyl and a live album from a 1974 Wembley concert. Highlights include six previously unreleased demos and alternate versions, a new Dolby Atmos mix by James Guthrie, and a restored live recording from the 1975 Los Angeles Sports Arena, captured by famed bootlegger Mike Millard and remixed by Steven Wilson. The deluxe edition also contains concert films and memorabilia such as a replica Japanese single and a hardcover book with unseen photographs and tour materials. Celebrated for its themes of absence and isolation, Wish You Were Here followed the massive success of The Dark Side of the Moon and remains a deeply collaborative and conceptually focused work cherished by band members and fans alike. This anniversary release reflects ongoing interest in the band's legacy following Sony's acquisition of Pink Floyd's music rights in 2024.
