Devin Carter's NBA Debut Against Father

Sacramento Kings rookie Devin Carter, selected as the No. 13 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, is set to make his NBA debut against the Memphis Grizzlies, where he will face his father, assistant coach Anthony Carter. After undergoing left shoulder surgery in July, Carter has completed his rehabilitation and previously played two games with the Stockton Kings, the Kings' G League affiliate, showcasing impressive performances. In his G League debut, he scored 29 points and followed up with a solid game of 17 points, 12 rebounds, and seven assists. Carter, who averaged 19.7 points and was named Big East Player of the Year at Providence, expressed the need to adjust back to game shape. The Kings, now under interim coach Doug Christie, have recently secured two consecutive victories following the dismissal of former coach Mike Brown.
