Lightspeed Commerce Revises Fiscal 2025 Revenue Outlook to 18% Growth
Lightspeed Commerce Inc. has lowered its fiscal 2025 revenue outlook to an expected 18% year-over-year growth, down from a previously anticipated 20%. This adjustment is attributed to deteriorating macroeconomic conditions that have negatively impacted consumer confidence and spending, particularly affecting transaction-based revenue, which constitutes over 60% of its total revenue. The company's stock has reacted negatively, with shares dropping approximately 4% on Monday following the announcement. Despite the lowered expectations, Lightspeed maintains its adjusted EBITDA forecast of over $53 million for the fiscal year. The company also plans to focus on profitable growth and has initiated a share repurchase program to bolster its stock value. CEO Dax Dasilva highlighted that the decline in consumer spending has hindered new business formation among small businesses, which are a significant part of Lightspeed's client base.
