The team had previously restricted drivers from competing in extracurricular racing to minimize injury risks and maintain focus on NASCAR commitments. However, with a formal process established for drivers to seek permission for specific races, the revised policy reflects the growing interest in dirt racing among JGR's roster. Notably, Bell expressed excitement over reconnecting with his dirt racing fan base, while Briscoe noted that the change aligns well with the team’s composition.
