Recent threats of violence against various schools have led to multiple arrests and increased security measures across the United States. In Jeff Davis County, a student was removed from school after admitting to making a Snapchat threat of a school shooting. Similarly, Rocky Mount police charged a student for threats of mass violence on social media, and Methuen police deemed a bomb threat against a grammar school as not credible after a thorough investigation. In Anderson, a student was arrested after an audio recording of a threat was discovered. Additionally, a 15-year-old was detained in Monroe County for threatening gun violence at Whiteford High School. Following a deadly shooting at Apalachee High School, the effectiveness of newly installed panic alarm systems was highlighted as a critical tool in preventing further casualties.
