Westfield Topanga Mall Robbery Leads to Arrests

A flash-mob style robbery at the Westfield Topanga Mall in Canoga Park led to the arrest of six individuals, including two juveniles. The robbery occurred around 5 p.m. on a Friday evening, with approximately 12 suspects targeting two stores and stealing over $90,000 worth of merchandise, primarily designer handbags and clothing. The suspects, masked and in hoodies, overwhelmed security and were caught on video. The LAPD's Organized Retail Crime Task Force identified and apprehended suspects using vehicle tracking, arresting three adults and two juveniles on robbery charges. A sixth suspect was arrested later that night by Huntington Beach Police with stolen goods in her vehicle. This incident was the second of its kind at the mall in two weeks.
