Bandai Namco and Dimps have announced 'Freedom Wars Remastered' to celebrate the game's tenth anniversary, set for release on January 10, 2025, across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. This remaster of the original 2014 PS Vita action RPG will feature enhanced HD visuals with support for 4K resolution and 60 FPS, along with improved game balancing, weapon crafting, and a customizable android companion. Players will engage in three-dimensional combat against bioweapons called Abductors, focused on harvesting parts to upgrade equipment while working to reduce their character's lengthy prison sentence in a dystopian world. The game will also include online co-op gameplay, allowing players to team up against formidable foes. Originally published by Sony, Bandai Namco has taken over the publishing for this remastered edition.
