Nvidia Launches Hindi Language AI Model in India

Nvidia has significantly ramped up its presence in India by launching the Nemotron-4-Mini-Hindi language model and forming numerous partnerships with major Indian firms, including Reliance Industries. The model, which features 4 billion parameters, aims to enhance AI capabilities in Hindi, the most widely spoken language in India. At the AI Summit in Mumbai, CEO Jensen Huang highlighted Nvidia's commitment to developing AI infrastructure, stating that India will see a 20-fold increase in computing power by the end of the year. Additionally, Nvidia plans to train 500,000 developers in AI technologies through collaborations with firms like Infosys and TCS. The startup Gnani.ai also introduced a speech-to-speech LLM capable of handling 10 million voice interactions daily, emphasizing the growing demand for AI solutions in customer service across various sectors. The Indian healthcare sector is set to benefit from these advancements, with AI applications improving accessibility and efficiency in medical research and diagnostics.
