Chongqing Hosts Major Tourism and Cultural Events

Chongqing is gaining recognition as a global travel destination, recently hosting the 2024 Chongqing International Travel Agent Conference and the Lancang-Mekong Tourist Cities Alliance Exchange Activity, attended by nearly 600 representatives from over 30 countries. These events underscored the city's booming tourism sector, which generated over 1.2 trillion RMB in the previous year, and showcased its cultural attractions like Hongyadong and UNESCO sites in Wulong. In a separate initiative, Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications has invited international student correspondents to share their experiences in China, enhancing cultural exchange. Meanwhile, Wuxi has also made its mark as a 'City of Music,' highlighted by the recent National Traditional Chinese Musical Instruments Exhibition, which celebrated its rich musical heritage and production prowess, particularly in erhu instruments. Notably, Wuxi produces a significant share of China's mid-to-high-end musical instruments and is home to numerous community music groups. Both cities reflect a unique blend of tradition and modernity, fostering cultural ties and tourism growth.
