Disney Reveals First Look at Wizards Sequel

Disney has unveiled a first look at the highly anticipated sequel series 'Wizards Beyond Waverly Place', featuring original stars Selena Gomez and David Henrie, during the premiere of 'Descendants: The Rise of Red'. The series follows an adult Justin Russo, who has embraced a normal life with his family, but must return to his wizarding roots when his sister, Alex, brings a rebellious wizard-in-training named Billie to him for help. While Gomez will only appear in the first episode, she serves as an executive producer, alongside Henrie and other key production members. The original series, which aired from 2007 to 2012, laid the groundwork for this new installment, which aims to bridge the nostalgia of the past with a fresh narrative for a new generation. The series is set to premiere later this year on Disney Channel and Disney+. The teaser includes familiar characters and hints at the challenges Justin will face as he mentors Billie while balancing family life.
