Fort Lauderdale Teens Charged in Teacher Assault

Two 19-year-old students, Jayvis McClover and Roddrick McQueen, have been arrested for allegedly assaulting a teacher at Dillard High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The attack, described by authorities as a 'synchronized physical attack,' was captured on video and shows the students repeatedly punching the teacher, causing him to fall and assume a fetal position to protect himself. Despite security intervention, the teacher suffered facial bruising and back pain. Both students were charged with battery on a public education employee, and court conditions mandate they avoid contact with the victim and the school. Daniel Foganholi Sr. from the Florida Department of Education condemned the incident, calling for stronger disciplinary policies and security measures in schools. The students have been released on bond with conditions, including wearing a GPS monitor for McQueen.
