Multiple Keyless Vehicle Thefts Reported Across Midlands, East England
Several incidents of vehicle-related crimes have been reported across England, involving both car thefts and parts theft. In Wollaston, Northamptonshire, a grey Volkswagen Golf was stolen after burglars forced entry into a home and took the car keys. Similarly, in Honeybourne, a blue Mitsubishi L200 was stolen in the early hours, with police appealing to the community for information. In Keyworth, two young burglars stole a £170,000 Range Rover Evoque Sport after breaking into a house to steal the keys, but were later caught thanks to CCTV and facial recognition technology. Meanwhile, in Coventry, police are investigating a rise in keyless car thefts where thieves use devices to trick vehicles into unlocking without the keys being physically present. Additionally, in Waltham Abbey, Essex, a tradesman found the entire front of his van stolen, although the tools inside were left untouched, highlighting a growing trend of targeted vehicle part thefts.
