Missing Allentown Man Found Dead

The skeletal remains found near Trout Creek Park in Allentown have been identified as 33-year-old Michael Morrissey, who was reported missing on August 8 after last being seen on July 27. The remains were discovered on Friday morning in a wooded area near the underpass in the 1200 block of South Eighth Street. Morrissey was pronounced dead at 10:33 a.m. on September 20. An autopsy conducted on September 23 has yet to determine the cause and manner of death, pending further investigation. Both the Lehigh County Coroner's Office and Allentown Police Department are investigating the case.
