Teen Killed, Another Injured in East Harris County Party Shooting, Suspects Sought

A 17-year-old was fatally shot and an 18-year-old was injured during a large party of about 200 people in east Harris County near Waldine Street. The shooting occurred after a confrontation between the 17-year-old victim and three to four Hispanic males in their late teens to early 20s, who are considered suspects and have fled the scene. Authorities believe the 17-year-old was specifically targeted by the suspects, and the injured 18-year-old is expected to recover from minor wounds. The party, held in an open area with live music and paid admission, saw many attendees fleeing when law enforcement arrived. Investigators are reviewing video footage and urging witnesses to contact the Harris County Sheriff’s Office or Crime Stoppers with information. The sheriff’s office continues to investigate the incident to identify and locate the suspects.
