Billy McFarland, the convicted fraudster behind the disastrous 2017 Fyre Festival, has announced the revival of the event, dubbed 'Fyre Festival 2', set for April 25-28, 2025, on a private island off the coast of Mexico. The original festival promised luxury but delivered a catastrophic experience, leading to McFarland's imprisonment. This time, he claims to have partnered with an experienced production company to ensure a successful event, though he has yet to confirm any musical acts. Tickets are being sold at prices ranging from $500 to over $1 million, with 100 presale tickets already sold. McFarland acknowledges the pressure to succeed, stating, 'Fyre II has to work', as his future opportunities depend on this event's success. Despite the past failures, he remains optimistic about attracting around 3,000 attendees and diversifying the experience beyond just music.
